Scotland is Calling and I must go.

“This is a city of shifting light, of changing skies, of sudden vistas. A city so beautiful it breaks the heart again and again.” - Alexander McCall Smith

Scotland is surely calling me home, as sure as the bagpipers rise each day to sing the morning tune I have now packed my bags and have began to set forth on my continued holiday. The air this morning is crisp while the grass has a slight dew on it, I'm anxious to head out to the train station located in London which from here is about a a 42 minute drive. With our train leaving from Kings Cross station at exactly 10:33 we needed to leave our hotel at around 8am, which was a miracle!

With all our bags ready to go we head to the transportation and make our way to the station. along the way seeing more of London, at more of a quieter state, less busy which brings a calmness over me. While the air is brushing my face im taking in all the passing scenarios, knowing I am saying goodbye to this beautiful place she silently wishes me well! its not goodbye after all, its until I see you again!

We've made it to the train station and will now be taking a huge train ride from London station to Edinburgh station, which will take around 4.5hrs which means we will arrive in Scotland Edinburgh at around 3pm.

we will travel from;

  1. London

  2. Peterborough

  3. York

  4. Edinburgh

Keep in mind Many more stops were made however these were the major towns just like us it would be like Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto for example.

This beauty was what we got to call home for the last 4.5hrs and she was amazing, we had wonderful seating and the staff were terrific!

Love ,

Lizzie
